A divorced woman is hated or is she seen as threatening? Both can be true.

Do men experience this? My experience is seeing the burden placed on the woman.

Is it about control of women? The equation is about sex rules: none before marriage, lock into marriage with no escape, no parole. But it you do escape, sex rules again - none unless you remarry. And if you remarry you are committing adultery. It broadly impacts decisions to leave or stay. It keeps us trapped and in held within dangerous situations. Plus, we suffer condemnation, rejection, loss of your relationships and community, loss of your health. It's not freedom or caring. It is much more about control.

Also interesting, if "God Hates Divorce" seems a bit harsh, then they will slap you with a citation of "divorce is a SIN!" It is mean and slimy. It was a statement about what I did -breaking the law, offending God.

Are men hit with this barrage?
