Should you not underestimate an empathic soul?

you can shake me
break me
hate me
hit me
knock me down
betray every ounce of me

but my flame
you couldn’t snuff out
i collapsed
died a death
lost myself

but there is a spark
deep within
you could never touch
would never understand
never would see it there

fatal flaw
underestimating me
a soft tender girl
heart full of love
naive
maybe so

loving souls
deepest empathy
have a fire hidden deeply within the mines of her soul
how could you have known
until you saw her go
