Great article! I am experiencing a massive shift in behaviors from people, simply because my husband is now my ex. My neighbors: some no longer speak to me, some unleashed their mean side and are harassing, and I am experiencing a mob mentality. I hear how they speak about another divorced woman. It happens even though I isolate myself and don't interact with them.

So yes, the points you make are accurate- about being viewed as dangerous. For me it seems to be because I am not hitched to a man. One day I am not a threat, the next day I am. It is not surprising but it is terrible, especially when women treat other women poorly.
