I did have a surge in reads, but it has all dropped significantly. It is the ongoing mystery of how it all works. From my limited experience on this platform, I think we should write finding purpose and meaning in what we do and in the connections of community. If over time we grow as writers and reach more readers, it’s additional fuel for us. Keep writing. I can see that you are good at connecting and that is what causes your writing to connect with others.
