I agree with your sentiments. I used to be thrilled with numbers and stats, but now I am bewilderd by the system and discouraged. If my followers were reading my work it would be great. But few do. I don't know the advantages or negatives of non reading followers, but I suspect the reasons for following are likely follow for follow schemes.
