I am not sad that I stepped outside the walls of religion. I am sad that a lot of religion is very destructive.

I do ponder why we need the message to be Christlike. Without that message would people be who they are anyway?

"That is what it is about": what cleric will help me be a better person? Which clerics are better people than I am? Is it kind of like self-help gurus? Do I need distant, removed people to help me be a better person?

I needed one cleric in my lifetime to acknowledge the rampant abuse surrounding me. Not one ever did.
