I can see how their rhetoric and response to this easily could lead to disordered people committing more acts of violence.

It is incredibly disturbing to agitate and encourage hatred and government intervention to take children away from their parents. I have experienced and observe domestic violence and abuse. When have I heard or seen people like these, taking real action to help and speak out for victims and survivors of real violence and trauma??? Does it not count when the violence is committed by "upstanding Christian people"? My experience is that domestic violence and abuse is largely ignored and enabled by conservatives and Christians. And advocating for this doesn't get you votes, attention and the subject is not a money maker.

So why is a drag event such a big deal for these people? .... because they have a job to do, votes to get, popularity to seek, an audience to grab, money to earn, ratings to pursue and power to gain. Steven Crowder and the Blaze live and breathe, finding news tidbits to pounce on. And when you live in that world, your money and job depends upon creating a big stink bomb out of every crumb they can find. And obviously fueling flames of conflict, hatred and fear is a lucrative business.
