I see you. What you and your sister are going through is incredibly gut wrenching and intense. The only ones that are being reasonable are your sister for calling the police and reaching out to you; and you for engaging, helping and calling out the ones that are normalizing and enabling the abuse.

OMG: the things your mom is saying... and her partner is especially awful and disturbing.

When someone really cares about you and they find out you are suffering within abuse and are in danger, they would never try to sweep that away and deny it.

You should be incredibly intense about helping her, even when that brings down massive conflict.

Please do everything you can to be safe. I never would have imagined my ex making me afraid for my life and that of my kids. You can never predict or guarantee what someone will do to have and keep control.

My mother and family turned against me and my kids and linked up with my abuser. All of my family was "washed away" when I was trying to get away from and survive my spouse.

I am incredibly proud of you for being the reasonable one, stepping up and being there for your sister. We all need someone like you to be by our side.
