I understand that at a deep level! Do you know my family? Is that a really bad attempt at humor? It does feel so familiar and when I have lived a life feeling alone and isolated, it is amazing to find that someone else knows it too. Yes on all of those: loathe, disconnect, evangelical, insidious and dehumanizing (good descriptive words for this). The gossip is so destructive and it feels like it strips me and exposes. There is no place to go to get your dignity or truth about you reinstalled. I understand how it affects me in similar ways. It causes me to see the world very differently than one might otherwise view it.
