My Uncle Told Me I am Going to End Up in a Nudist Colony
because of my food choices?
Once upon a time, many years ago, I was doing design and decorating work for my family. I wasn’t being paid for my time or work. My mother supplied the funds for buying most of what was to fill an empty house. My uncle had built a second house on a mountain range in North Carolina (United States). He built it himself. He’s a guy, that grew up on a small farm and lived in a small village, determined to do a huge project. It took years to complete. It was nice but modest, especially compared to other houses on the mountain. It was to be used for entertaining family and friends and for rental income. Of course, they wanted something nice for themselves and to show it off. I saw my work as bringing to life and showcasing the work that my uncle had put into the structure (the presentation, icing on the cake).
For my part, it was at least two years of focus, planning and purchasing. I love being turned loose with money to create something beautiful and inspiring. I absolutely love the end result and they have always gotten positive feedback about it.
My kids were young and we all met there for a week to put the planning and purchased items in place. We also had to buy more furnishings, accessories and all else needed to finish the job.
