Screaming in the Woods- a Riddle
Can you solve the mystery of the disturbance in the woods?
Two women are out for a walk at a park on a long trail through the woods. The peaceful walk is disturbed as one of them becomes agitated. She is yelling and flailing. She is definitely upset.
The quietness of woods is disrupted by the sounds of the uproar. Throughout the disruption, you are hearing, “NO! Go away! Get off of me! Leave me alone! STOP! Dang it, Get off of me!” And then one of them is running to get away. The other yells at different intervals, “It is following you.” The creature goes back and forth between them but seems to prefer to pursue one of the women. It moves very fast.
But then one of them is laughing. And then laughing mixed with cries of distress. Then the assault is directed back to the other woman. The one that is running is urging the other to run. She is yelling and struggling against the assault and then hits the creature. It redirects to go after the first woman, who continues running.
It is a chaotic scene in the woods.
When the women made it back to the parking lot, they saw a law enforcement officer patrolling. But they didn’t speak to him about the incident. They had tried so hard to defend themselves and quickly sought safety in their hot car and shut the doors, not even opening the windows…
