So religion needs celebrities. Of course, if it's only about power and money. And they are King makers.

There is so much about religion that infuriates me. Even my grandmother's old, one room, country church. I would see it and think, what wasted opportunity. There are so many needs in the community that the building and the people could connect with and help. They stand inside insisting that people need to come in and meet them where they are and typically not the other way. We are expected to go along with their format and like it.

I can't tolerate the whole scene. To me it looks so misdirected and wasteful. It feels like dysfunction and high society. I guess the issue is my desire for authenticity.

I think an important point of your article is that a lot of people care about categories and labels. And it does matter when they pose deceptively and have sway over others.

There have been some other issues floating about Beth Moore. Not difficult to see that men don't like it when women become famous/ have a following/excel -in "their kingdom" (John McArthur continues to demonstrate that he is vile. He is venomous, especially more recently in mocking Beth and having an entire room of men laughing).
