Thanks. This is a good point and it is a dive to think through these things. People need to hero worship and they need to follow (believe in) things and people. Easy to imagine that they needed Jesus to be essentially "Billy Graham's image".

I find it difficult deconstructing and the feelings that come with realizing lies, fraud, abuse, neglect and corruption within the programming and marketing that I was fed. Further confirmation that people are terrible.

Also, I have been tripping on Elisabeth Elliot having personal intimate photos of him while no one else was allowed to see him as he was in typical settings. I was leaning into the idea that EE may have preferred women (even though she continued to marry) (from reading your investigations/articles), but still she had intimate photos of him. I am wondering who took the photos. I am seeing the looks and the pose and understanding the eye behind the camera. Maybe she saw what she liked in Wild Bill or the image defying swim shorts.
