This a powerful piece, Logan. I appreciate that you are sharing vulnerably your experiences. I think about if governing officials cared as much about this form of mass epidemic as they do other contagion and channeled as much intensity and resources toward it what would it look like.

I want as much care for abuse, substance issues and people who have been leveled in this existence. I think these and the resulting traumas are very much connected.

My hometown is small and drugs and violence are rampant. I think the wealthy businessmen in town funnel drugs for profit. I think everyone knows someone who struggles and everyone knows someone who has lost friends or family members.

I am sad that you didn't have what you needed then. I am impacted by your strength in using your experiences for positive change in helping others and speaking out.

I have just listened to Mayim Bailik's "Breakdown" interview of Jada Pinkett Smith about her book: Worthy. She spoke alot about community of drugs, dealing, addiction, crime, breakdown/anxiety attack, trauma, medications and her journey toward healing.

Too I have been discussing our isolated society and friendlessness. I think we need to/I want to find ways to create communities and places to know each other. Part of me is sure I don't want to but the other is reluctantly sure I should. : /
