This is so well done Laura. I agree with your points. Your personal examples make this even stronger. I have felt insecure, unseen and that I never fit in. In school I connected with certain boys, but I can't remember any girls ever connecting with me or having true connection with them. It is harmful and painful to be the odd one that doesn't belong.
