Interesting- the events that lined up on TB's path and a few men that gave a damn, brought it all to this point. ...Imagining how close this was: at the SBC, it felt like this easily would have continued to be ignored.

There is an initial hope in that- it feels like finally there could be some justice for victims; that finally their pain is seen. But I'm not confident that it will be seen or there could ever be sufficient justice- if at all. Often it is just more exposure and pain for victims.

I am grateful for men that speak up, care and work against injustice. As you noted, men's voices are crucial.

My positive, hopeful idea of Todd Benkert fell apart at the end, seeing that he is anti-gay. I wasn't expecting that as I read his quote. I guess the short chain of religion only allows you to go so far.
