I think a lot about the places I had, to escape as a child. Somehow, I feel very fortunate that I lived on farms with wide open spaces. Even though it was isolated, I found freedom and respite from the trauma. I also saw my animals as my friends and companions. They gave me so much peace and comfort.

I am very sad and angry that you were treated so horribly. You deserved only the greatest care, warmth and love. And you always deserve care and love.
