Your experiences and your review of this series is powerful. There were two things that especially lit up for me on a deeper level regarding my experience.

My children and I were alone in trying to save our own lives. I couldn't get a restraining order. Calling police would have only increased the danger to us and they would not have helped. It is much more difficult to get away because there is little provision and many barriers and locked doors.

I am so grateful for your strong voice you are using to bring attention to abuse.
