Your last point really hits home. People who are hateful are always waiting for more opportunity to vent it. I had a friend who was a huge fan of AG. When Amy divorced Gary, she was angry and swore to be "done with her". Eventually I learned that she worked her way back to "forgiving" Amy for her "dastardly horrible crime of divorce". We were programmed to believe divorce (for women) was one of the top tier crimes.

I understand the hatred and how Christians love the marriage and the husband and hate the woman. It's interesting to ask, What is the public opinion of Gary Chapman, Vince Gill, or name any other "Christian" man who "steps out of line"?
