Zara: You are an important connection and part of my journey. My upbringing was twisted views of sex and shame, devaluing and demeaning. Vile words were used to speak of our female bodies. In hindsight I see that my ex viewed me as an object for his use. I recently began deconstruction from religious views and teaching. Your perspective is a real and full view of us as beings. I am being restored and empowered.
Devaluing sexuality and writing: If we are not okay with ourselves, we cannot celebrate the strength, beauty and freedom of others. It seems to me like the same cord: in the way- many women treat divorced women (my experiences). It is also when a woman is physically fit, attractive or draws attention from men- some women have issues with that. It is the quote: "You cannot be free (sexually, also) because I am not free."
