read this one first: part one

I have been walking at different parks with my daughter. This day we had been walking for a while. The aggressive creature pursuing us was… a horsefly. It began pursuing her. Attacking insects always prefer her.

I would expect to see them around farms and livestock. We were not in a farm or livestock area. But I suppose that wildlife including the deer population is sufficient to attract them. I don’t remember being attacked by a horsefly at a city park before. And their bite is so painful that they can make a horse sprint away, jump and kick.

My darling/ my walking companion began running. We don’t run without just cause. She was so frustrated and determined to get away from this aggressive creature. I got really tickled because of her antics in fighting it off and seeing her sprinting down the trail. We had just been talking about why we hate running.

I could see the large blood sucking beast leave me and make a bee line straight for her. It would come back for me. It was on my ball cap. I brushed it off. It began trying to bite me and I hit it. Several times I could see it flying down the path directly toward her. And it continued to try to attack her. It finally did bite her.
